What you can do to help:

You can join the team here at First Nation Ministries in a variety of ways:

1.  Prayer; It is only through the power of God that we will be effective. There are so many obstacles that we can't present them all here. But here are a few things you can pray for:
Food; The salvage food market has a glut of agencies and ministries scrambling for a piece of the pie. Tax law changes in recent years make it far less attractive to  donate surplus food. As a result a large number of salvage businesses have sprung up and they pretty much cornered the market. It is increasingly more difficult for  relief organizations to get free or low priced groceries.

Ask the Lord to open some new pantry doors.

Clothing; We are in need of good quality clothing. It must be clean and without tears, missing buttons, inoperable zippers etc. We are also in need of  Linens, blankets, pillows, etc. These also have to be clean and in good condition.
Those of you in the Portland area can drop off food and clothing  items at our office. (For now we can deal only with non-perishable food items like canned or dry goods.) Click the "Contact Us" menu item for our phone number, address and a map link.

2.  Financial Support; We welcome and appreciate any financial support that you can offer. You may donate in a couple of ways. Click the "Make a Donation" menu item for options.

3.  Tell others; At present we do not have any publicity funds in our budget. So right now our best hope for growth is 'word of mouth' promotion by friends like yourself. You might also consider talking with your pastor about your congregation supporting this ministry, or perhaps allocating us a small spot or flier in your bulletin.

Miscellaneous; We can also accept donations of various items including Vehicles, Appliances, Other Household Items such as Dishes, Detergent and Toiletries, etc. Give us a call to see if it is something we can use. Click the "Contact Us" menu item for our phone number, address and a map link.
